Week of Dec 7-10

What concept or concepts from the class that you thought was the most helpful in preparing your speeches?

Some of the concepts from the class that have helped me best in preparing for my speeches were the feed back from the turned in outlines, the topics in the books which were easy to find and understand (such as outline examples, types of outlines, and general information on speech formation). The speech buddy videos also helped me quite a bit because they re-emphasized the points in the book and also made things more clear. I liked the fact that they were relatively short, becuase I know I don't want to be sitting in front of the computer watching a video where it's longer than 10 minutes! :) For the most part, I've definitely learned a lot from this class and will take what I've learned and apply it to my future endeavours.

I am glad that these concepts were helpful. Before the start of the semester I was wondering if the videos were going to be useful to students, but I have received good feedback about them.

I'm also glad the feedback on the outlines helped. Next semester the students will turn them in a bit earlier. Do you think that you would have been able to figure out the outlines without the feedback? Meaning, just having the book as a resource?

Yes, I was able to figure out the outlines fine with the book as a reference. I just like having feedback to ensure that I'm on the right track :)
